Senior Structural Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Halifax office.

Do you like to work in a team environment to solve challenging structural problems We have an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to be part of our Structural Engineering practice in the Halifax area. The successful candidate will assist in the growth mentorship and technical aspect of the Structural team focusing on the Industrial Electrical Utility Material Handling and Heavy Civil structures side of the practice.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills be a natural problem solver have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Experience with industry standard software such as ETABS SAP 2000 S-Frame Lusas and Revit would be considered an asset.

Your Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management including financial management resource management change order management and invoicing;
• Business Development in the Atlantic provinces;
• Design calculations and analysis;
• Coordination of design support staff;
• Provide mentoring and technical support to junior staff members;
• Preparation of technical specification and construction documents;
• Construction contract administration;
• Periodic site work including meetings field reviews and measurements; and
• Meet and liaise with clients;
