Rehabilitation Services Professional - Vocational (Bilingual)

Location: Work from Home anywhere in Canada

About the role

The Rehabilitation Service Professional Vocational (RSP Voc) assists individuals to access, maintain or return to suitable, gainful and meaningful vocational activities. The RSP Voc determines appropriate vocational goals, identifies the need for vocational rehabilitation and/or support services, evaluates participants’ current and potential vocational abilities through assessment of physical, cognitive, and psychological abilities to create an objective vocational profile. The RSP Voc collaborates with Rehabilitation Service Specialists and other RSPs to gather evidence to evaluate overall employment capacity, uses a return‑to‑work hierarchy to guide recommendations, and completes comprehensive reports supporting the Rehabilitation Plan and eligibility for VAC benefits.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct vocational assessments (initial, transferable skills, employment and earnings capacity, vocational evaluations) based on participant education, training, experience, and functional limitations.
  • Determine the need and type of specialized or ad‑hoc assessments to accurately evaluate employability.
  • Consult with RSPs to confirm functional impairments impacting well‑being.
  • Evaluate whether additional evidence through further assessments is required to render an opinion on earning capacity and employability.
  • Follow approved processes and program requirements to support analysis and recommendations.
  • Complete comprehensive case notes and specialized assessment summaries per contract requirements.
  • Develop final reports that clearly answer referral questions with objective evidence.
  • Submit appropriate reports according to established standards and timelines.
  • Comply with program requirements for confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation, or a related field and one of the following designations:
    • Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional (CVRP) or Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional – Fellow (CVRP‑F) with CVRP‑TSA credential.
    • Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec.
  • A Minimum of Three (3) Years’ experience in the direct provision of vocational rehabilitation services (or a combination thereof) including:
    • Conducting medical, psycho‑social, or vocational rehabilitation assessments.
    • Working with persons living with mental or physical health problems creating barriers to civilian life.
    • Analyzing and interpreting assessments and making recommendations based on critical analysis.

Plus

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of local labour markets.
  • Employment conditional on obtaining federal security clearance – Reliability Status.
  • A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel.

Required Criteria

  • Bilingual (French/English).
