Junior Accountant
About the Opportunity
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable / receivable
- Process registrations, invoices, expense reports, reimbursements and bank deposits
- Reconcile credit card transactions
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by performing reconciliations and preparing journal entries
- Prepare financial reports and funding reconciliations, under the guidance of senior staff members
- Utilize Excel and accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
About You
- A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is required.
- Previous internship or part-time experience in accounting or finance is preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting profession.
- Sage experience (preferably Sage 50)
- Must be comfortable working in office 5 days a week
Salary Range
$50,000 - $55,000 / year
