Job Description
Raise is hiring an Operations Technology Site Systems Technologist for Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.
This position is a one (1) year contract located in Christina Lake and will be a Fly-In Fly Camp Position - Flights leave from Calgary and Edmonton.

Description
The Contract Operations Technology Systems Technologist in this role will to provide Level 1 support of on-site industrial control system (ICS) and break fix of critical control system components at our upstream assets to maintain system health.
This role is 7 days on / 7 days off and 100% site based. Along with supporting their primary asset location, this role is expected to provide remote support to secondary assets.
This role may need to provide physical site support to other asset locations based on business needs.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to support implementation of MOCs, new projects, and technologies.

- Actively participate in Cenovus safety programs and abide by safety policies
Required
- 10+ years as a Professional Engineer or 10+ years as a Technologist working in the Instrumentation, Automation and Control System field with a broad level of experience.
- Experience with the Engineering, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance functions of a production facility
- Demonstrated design, implementation, and operational knowledge of integrated plant control systems (Honeywell, Rockwell, Delta V)
- Experience with work management systems (SAP, Service-Now)
- A sound understanding of Business-driven cost initiative within the Automation function (i.e. Capital vs Operational costs)
- A relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering) or a technology diploma in a related field would be beneficial.
