We are seeking a Financial Analytics Developer Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta , that is available for 8 months starting in May 2026 . This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Senior Corporate Analytics Manager.
As a Financial Analytics Developer Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by :
- Participates in business requirement gathering sessions, understands user requirements, and assists in reconciliation of technical and business requirements as they relate to technology solutions.
- D evelops use cases that support requirements analysis, functional designs, user acceptance testing, and training material.
- Designs and builds various business intelligence reports, graphs, and dashboards.Designs, builds, and tests solutions to challenges related to complex data integration.
- Documents design specifications related to business intelligence and financial reporting systems.
- Coordinates the security set up for the financial analytics systems.Identifies opportunities to automate financial processes.
- Ensures strong data governance is applied to financial reporting and business intelligence.
What you will bring to the role :
Currently enrolled in a computing science, computer engineering or information management related programKeen interest in data management as it applies to business intelligence and analyticsAbility to quickly gain proficiency in new softwareExperience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferredExperience with relational databases and SQL is preferred but not requiredExperience with programming languages such as Python and C# is preferred but not requiredIn addition to the technical skills listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualities :
