NDT Inspector (PT)

Summary:
FET Variperm specializes in sand control engineering completion and work-over tools as well as cased hole fishing services. The NDT Inspector performs nonâdestructive testing specializing in liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) to ensure that our parts and products meet stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking takes pride in their responsibilities and able to work with minimal supervision. This position may involve various shifts and overtime hours depending on the scope of work. The schedules are tentative and may be subject to change.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and prepare parts to inspect and complete the required documents.
• Inspect parts according to procedures and customer specifications.
• Identify manufacturing defects or other discontinuities.
• Strictly follow NDT instructions and techniques.
• Set-up and standardize equipment process parts interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results.
• Prepare reports and other documentation to ensure compliance with quality and work order requirements.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
• Provide training and supervision of trainees in the use of LPI techniques.
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required.
• Other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work standing upright and lift loads of up to 45lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education:

• High school diploma with related postâsecondary studies or equivalent relevant experience.
• Formal training in Liquid Penetrant Inspection and possess ASNT Level II and/or CGSB Level II certification in Penetrant Testing (PT).

Experience:

• Minimum 1- 3 years practical experience specifically in Liquid Penetrant Testing.
• 3 years of experience in a quality role or equivalent position testing
• Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
