Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Safety (Process Safety)Engineer to join the Loss Prevention organization (LP) which is thecorporate safety organization within the company.

We provide bothdaytoday infield occupational and process safety support to ThisCompany operations as well as centralized technical support andconsulting function.

Our field offices are located in Abqaiq RiyadhRas Tanura Dhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan)and Tanajib.

Through these offices LP provides its services to allThis Company facilities and departments that are located throughoutthe Kingdom.

Your primary role as a Technical Safety Engineer is towork with key stakeholder organizations to provide technicalguidance on facility design requirements pertaining to fireprevention and process safety engineering areas including but notlimited to firewater systems fireproofing emergency shutdownsystems drainage systems tank designs electrical classificationspipeline design factors equipment access and layout spacing riskareas etc.

Responsibilities :

Provide technical guidance and formulateprocedures for all company divisions regarding fire prevention andprocess safety engineering encompassing facilities design andrelevant operational requisites.

This includes adherence to bothcompany and international standards such as NFPA andAPI.

• Conduct thorough reviews of new projectsto ensure alignment with company and international engineeringstandards. Represent the organization during project proposalmeetings and offer continuous guidance through design constructionand commissioning phases.
• Extend companywidetechnical support during designrelated evaluations of This Companyfacilities. This involves assessing the adequacy of designoperations and maintenance procedures.
• Analyzeboth industrywide and This Companyspecific fire incidents andprocess safety events. Determine root causes and assess whetherupdates to company standards or other measures are necessary.

Propose remedial actions as appropriate.

• Initiate and actively engage in studies aimed atresolving specific challenges that lie beyond currently availabletechnological solutions.
• Develop comprehensivetraining programs focusing on process safety and fire preventionengineering. Provide training assistance as required to enhance theorganizations skillset in these domains.
• Applyrisk analysis techniques to identify potential corporate riskexposure and devise pragmatic costeffective solutions.
• Collaborate in conducting surveys of This Companyoperations conducted by insurance governmental bodies and externalagencies.

Serve as the companys authority on fire preventionengineering standards.

Assume a mentoring roleproviding guidance and knowledge transfer to fellow LPpersonnel.

Requirements :

• Possess a Bachelorsdegree in Chemical Engineering or Fire ProtectionEngineering.
• 10 years of industry experiencewithin sectors such as oil and gas petrochemicals or relatedfields.
• Showcase five years of dedicatedexperience in addressing technical safety and fire preventionengineering matters.
• Professional Engineeringlicensing / certification / registration in Fire Protection Engineeringis highly desirable as is an advanced degree.
• Strong communication skills in English both verbal andwritten.
• Ability to effectively communicatewith peers and management.
• Proficiency inproducing clear and concise oral and written reports inEnglish.
