As an Appraiser II, Imagery & Email you will aspire to create peace of mind for our clients and our communities and serve our clients with compassion.
You will evaluate vehicle damages remotely to determine reparability and regularly work with and respond to internal and external customers, as well as vendors.
You are passionate about continuous improvement and operate with high-integrity, motivated by our desire to do the right thing for our clients.
How you will create impact :
- Creating and reviewing written damage appraisals remotely using damage repair expertise.
- Sourcing and determining availability of parts, quantifying loss to determine repairability of a vehicle and researching recommended repair processes.
- Maintaining regular contact with clients and claimants to schedule appraisal appointments, discuss repair procedures, methods and communicate timelines.
- Communicating with all stakeholders and building relationships throughout the claims process to discuss and approve the repair with vendors & clients to ensure safe, quality repairs are completed.
- Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.

To join our team :
- You have 5 years of collision repair and estimating business or related experience.
- You have a post-secondary diploma.
- You hold the Autobody Repair Technician or Refinisher Certification and the Physical Damage Appraiser Certificate.
- Autobody Repair Technician or Refinisher Certification and the Physical Damage Appraiser Certificate is an asset.
- Knowledge and prior experience with Mitchell Connect estimating is an asset
- You have or are willing to obtain the I-Car Platinum Certificate.
- You have expert knowledge of vehicle construction and collision repair techniques and procedures.
- You will attain provincial appraiser license(s) depending on the province of work.
What you need to know :
- Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
- Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and / or service providers in their environment.
- You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

Expected Salary Range : $65,000 $85,000
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to : local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
