Description

Fortinet is looking for a Software QA to join our team. You will be responsible for develop, maintain, and automate QA testing environment for Fortinet's FortiEDR platform and infrastructures.

Job Responsibilities :

• Setup and maintain lab environment.
• Execute feature and bug fix testing using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques.
• Identify, document and track software defects found during functionality, performance and detection coverage testing.
• Improve testing and development processes using various automation techniques.
• Develop, maintain and execute tools and scripts using shell, Python or other languages.
• Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed.
• Work with different teams to ensure FortiEDR is certified by independent organizations.

Job Skills Required :

• 1 - 2 years of software quality assurance or network administrator experience in IT or related industry.
• Knowledge of endpoint detection and response(EDR), antivirus, firewalls, and TCP / IP networking.
• Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Virtual machine environment, i.e VMware / ESXi, Hypervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and reproducible problem reports, and test results.
• Demonstrated skills in scripting languages, such as shell, Python are considered assets.
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with code review systems and bug tracking services is an asset.
• Experience with benchmark testing platforms / software such as BreakingPoint is an asset.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other teams.
• Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints.

Educational Requirements :

A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field.
