Intermediate Architectural Technologist

As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist you will report directly to the Principal Designer and work closely with the Design and Production team and Project Management team to support successful project outcomes by contributing key elements, including (but not limited to) :

• Site architectural drawing initiation and coordination with third-party suppliers and consultants
• Site drawings review to ensure consistency, accuracy and correct connection / interface between site-built elements, site services and modular units
• Coordination with Design to ensure project design intent is met
• Coordination with Engineering to ensure appropriate, accurate and consistent information for construction
• Architectural plan revisions during drawings development and permitting process to incorporate required refinement and revisions
• Review and analysis of project drawing standards for continuous improvement
• Other project related administration and communication tasks, as required

Required Qualifications

Diploma in Architectural Technology (or Architectural / Building / Construction Technology equivalent)

3–5 years experience working with site construction drawings (residential, light commercial, prefab / modular asset)

Proficient with :

Revit

AutoCad

Sketch Up

Google Suite (Gmail / Sheets / Docs)

Willingness to learn / use new software, as required

Key Skills & Attributes

On-site knowledge and experience with site construction

Exceptional attention to detail

Knowledge of the Canadian Building Code and the International Residential Code

Collaborative team player with a positive attitude

Self-motivated to excel both autonomously and in collaboration within project teams

Clear written, verbal and visual communicator

Excellent time management and analytical skills

Reporting & Interfaces

Reports to : Principal Designer

Works closely with : Project Management (for client / consultant follow-up), Design & Engineering

Schedule

Day shifts

Full time

Monday to Friday

Overtime and occasional weekends as needed
