ICS powers one of the leading point-of-sale software and e-commerce solutions for the retail wine and spirits industry. The corporate office is located in Manasquan, NJ.
The ICS software systems are designed to provide convenience, increased efficiency, and industry specific integrations in the retail wine and spirits industry.
We provide POS systems, credit card integrations, industry specific inventory management and reporting, ecommerce solutions, third party delivery integrations and more.
Reporting directly to the company President, the Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities.
This position staffs and directs the sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company’s annual budget, its vision, and its values.
The Sales Manager establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base alongside the day-to-day management of the sales team.
The individual will also contribute to the development of the team through sales training and mentoring them in the field.
The individual should be dynamic, self-assured, and confident interacting with a full range of clients. The Sales Manager will be a member of the Executive Team and will work closely with other members to create a vision and strategy for the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Responsible for the performance and development of the sales team.
- Supporting the team to effectively close sales leads and develop new prospects.
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Conducts one-on-one reviews with the sales team to build more effective communication, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of all sales and activities.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Pipeline management and reporting.
- Assists all sales personnel in preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Interviews, recommends and hires sales team personnel based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
Job Qualifications
- 4+ years of management experience (i.e., managing teams and direct reports).
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong presentation and negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of prospects, customers and market dynamics within the relevant sector (Point of Sale, retail wine and spirits industry, credit cards).
- Proven leadership and ability to motivate and drive direct reports.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Results driven and self-motivated with a can do’ attitude and determination to close the deal’.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with senior levels oftheorganization (internal andexternal).
- Ability to use relationship management in order to build effective teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence actions and gain the support of others tomeet objectives.
- Illustrates a strong sense of integrity and trust.
- Experience with Point of Sale, retail wine and spirits industry, or credit card acquiring is a plus.
