Activity Coordinator required for seniors' living facility.

We are looking for a team-oriented person who has a flexible, willing, and positive attitude to help as an Activity Coordinator at one of our facilities.
Requirements of the position include :
- Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Emergency First Aid certification.
- A valid Class 4 driver's license.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in leading group activities and / or related recreation field.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
- Certification and / or training in conducting exercises for seniors is considered an asset.
- A Recreation Therapy certificate is an asset.
Basic Responsibilities of the position include :
- Developing programs that contribute to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents.
- Provide programs and activities which offer broad appeal to residents and encourage participation.
- Planning and organizing resident excursions, entertainment activities, and other indoor / outdoor activities.
- Driving the Foundation bus and leading exercises.
- Recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers.
