Senior Public Accounting Manager

Adecco is currently hiring for permanent Senior Accounting Managers with a significant background in Public Accounting, to work full-time hours for our client, a nationwide accounting firm with a robust network spanning 23 offices across Canada.

As an integral part of this role, you will assume responsibility for overseeing daily office operations, spearheading team leadership, mentoring Accounting Technicians, engaging with business proprietors, and contributing significantly to the expansion of a thriving enterprise.

With a requisite 2-5 years of managerial experience, candidates will pivot into a more influential role, shaping and steering the future trajectory of the office.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000 / year

Responsibilities :

Manage file preparation, advisory services, and foster strong client relationships to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.

Review assignments including audit, review, compilation, corporate tax, personal tax, estate, bookkeeping and other compliance, tax research and accounting work

Lead teams through periods of change, leveraging your expertise to navigate transitions and inspire a culture of adaptation.

Oversee workflow, mentor junior staff, and cultivate a vibrant team culture within a dynamic office environment.

Act as a guiding force, coaching and developing staff while navigating through the intricacies of Canadian tax laws and GAAPs, including ASPE and ASNFPO.

Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to reside and work in Canada

Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting in Canada.

Proficiency in Caseware / Caseview, Jazzit, Keystone, Excel, and Profile.

Ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior staff, coupled with a strong grasp of Canadian tax knowledge across personal, corporate, and trust realms.

Practical experience in Canadian GAAPs ASPE and ASNFPO.
