Responsible to the Manager, Community Services. Works within the Hospital, Prince Rupert and surrounding Communities; and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the provision of Diabetes Education for inpatients / outpatients and their family members.

The responsibilities are carried out in accordance with written standards, protocols, agency expectations and the goals for professional Nursing Practice.

Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Friday, Days, 08 : 30 to 16 : 30

New Wage : As of April 1, 2024 the new wage is : $49.20 - $67.08 / hour

Qualfications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Diabetes Educator Certification.
• Recent clinical experience (within 3 years) with the care and management of adults and children with Diabetes which includes program development and teaching.
• CPR Certification.
