Our client, manufactures and distributes a wide line of industrial products to the oil and gas, mining and natural resources sectors around the world.
With a handful of production, fabrication and assembly sites across North America they are looking for a Director to lead key supply chain activities.
In the role of Director of Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for leading a team across the full scope of procurement, materials management, logistics and distribution requirements of both raw materials and finished goods.
Responsibilities :
- Work with the senior leadership team to develop strategic plans that improve North American and global distribution activities and optimize total supply chain spend.
- Develop, execute and manage the operational plans to support the business
- Assist in developing and reviewing proposals, plans and budgets
- Overall responsibility in ensuring relationships with supply chain partners, and total end to end supply chain activities are maximized
- Accountable for a mid size team spread across North America
- Providing leadership and communication guidance to team members to ensure the work environment is based on teamwork, trust, confidence and accountability

Location : Edmonton, Alberta
Requirements :
- 10 + years of senior level experience across the full scope of supply chain
- Preference for people from an industrial manufacturing environment with global supply chains
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business
- Preference for candidates with certifications : SCMP, CSCP or CPIM
- Able to travel to client or vendor / partner locations globally for site visits
- Above average communication skills both written and verbal
