Job Description :

Our client in the manufacturing space is looking to add a strong Senior Accountant to their team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the full-cycle accounting and payroll functions in the organization, including providing guidance to AR and AP staffs, budgeting, reporting, and liaising with external auditors.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include :

• Financial statement preparation and analysis
• Prepare G / L entries (recurring monthly journals, inventory provision, depreciation expense, prepayment amortization, foreign exchange adjustment and other entries as required)
• Perform physical inventory count, investigate, and reconcile the variances
• Prepare inventory account reconciliation
• Review account reconciliations and G / L entries prepared by AR and AP staffs
• Review bank reconciliations and AMEX reconciliations
• Prepare supporting schedules quarterly and annually
• Troubleshooting (Microsoft D365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV)
• Investigate costing and margin errors
• Manage all aspects of general ledger, including daily check for all company postings
• Assist in the preparation of annual business plan
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Processing semi-monthly payrolls in ADP
• Administrating company benefits in RBC and Manulife
• Administrating Collage, HR flatform
• Perform HR onboarding and offboarding
• Review shipment reports and calculate sales commissions
• Responding to payroll enquiries internally, as well as from various government agencies
• Prepare ROE
• Year-end Payroll preparation and reconciliation, including T4, Releve and T2200 and filing
• Annual Employer Health Tax Returns
• Quarterly WCB reports

Job Requirements :

• CPA designation required
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV) would be an asset
• Minimum 4+ years working experience
• Experience with full cycle accounting and completion of financial statements including analysis and investigating variances
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks at hand
• Excels in a team environment and has excellent communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written
• Payroll experience an asset
