Position Scope :

Our client is currently looking for a dynamic leader to lead their Global Benefits & Retirement team. Based in Toronto, this position will involve close collaboration with HR business partners and stakeholders across global offices.

Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards, the Director will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic execution of global benefits and retirement programs, in addition to overseeing benefits administration.

The role will involve providing oversight and partnership in the design of global benefits and retirement programs to ensure competitiveness and a focus on disability management.

This position is instrumental in enhancing the organizational focus on wellness and improved health outcomes aligned with the enterprise strategy.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develop scalable global benefits and retirement solutions aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Stay informed about market trends and the business environment to adapt benefit programs accordingly.
  • Support research on global preventative health programs and ensure cost-effective, market-competitive solutions.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to senior leadership and HR, developing integrated reporting for benefits and retirement.
  • Oversee global disability management programs and manage relationships with vendors.
  • Manage global benefits renewals and collaborate with other departments for execution.
  • Develop and oversee global retirement plan communications and activities.
  • Curate external knowledge, identify technology needs, and trends for effective program delivery.
  • Participate in vendor selection, contract negotiations, and establish service level agreements.
  • Lead, coach, and provide guidance to a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in global financials and budget cycles.
  • Build positive relationships across HR and the business to design programs aligned with business needs.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Pension and Benefits or related field.
  • Ability to translate business needs into HR plans and programs.
  • Proactive focus on continuous improvement.
  • Expert knowledge in international benefits, retirement, and disability management.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to achieve results in a complex environment.
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Salary and Benefits Package :

  • Base Salary : $170,000 - $190,000Exciting LTIP / STIP Bonuses : Up to 44% of base salary
  • DB Pension Plan included
  • Hybrid Role : 4 days a week onsite in Downtown Toronto
