As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist II, you will direct and supervise the day-to-day operation of department staff and services in their area.
You will be responsible for the coordination, organization and operation of the site Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging departments.
You will also be responsible to perform site specific manual and automated laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging exams, cardiology procedures and related duties following established standards and practice defined by the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and Health Professions Act.

Required Qualifications :
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications :
The ability to effectively communicate in English. Minimum of 5 years full time laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging experience.
Proven success performing supervisory functions in a diagnostic setting. Demonstrated desire and actions to further own knowledge relating to profession.
Demonstrated experience with method or equipment evaluations including statistical analysis. Training and / or demonstrated experience related to quality improvement, conflict resolution and customer service.
Extensive experience in use of computer systems, software applications. Experience in performing incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Experience with Accreditation standards, implementation and addressing deficiencies. Demonstrated experience and or knowledge of Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging Safety practices.
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, direct work assignments, and adapt to stressful situations using tact and diplomacy.
Ability to influence others through well-developedoral and written communications Ability to interpret, explain and apply applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
Receptive to new ideas and change. Good working knowledge of the HSAA collective agreements. Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively managing his / her time.
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Completion of leadership courses, including effective team building and conflict resolution.
Experience with development and supervision of effective teams. Use of many software applications including EPIC, WellSky, e-people, Recruitment Management System, i-Expense, Microsoft Word, Excel, My Safety Net and Sharepoint.
