Electrician (3rd Year Apprentice - Journeyperson)

POSITION OVERVIEW :

Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting an  Electrician (Temporary Full Time – 2 to 3 months) to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). Electricians must possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources and communications. Preference will be given to electricians who have industrial or commercial construction experience, Oil and Gas experience, Fabrication shop experience, a good track record of safety and high-quality workmanship. Shift Schedule – 5 : 50am-4 : 20pm (4 days / week,10 hours / day). Overtime is as required.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI) :

INSTALLATION AND COMPLIANCE (Weighting 70%)Electrical System Diagnosis & Repair

• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Install, alter, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
