AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring an experienced Network Technician Coordinator for work in Ontario
You will earn :
- $41 per hour before overtime
- $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
- Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
- Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
Contract Duration is 1-120 days
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Plan, configure and organize work relating to network installation / operation / maintenance (LAN, MAN and WAN services)
- Responsible for network infrastructure troubleshooting
- Responsible for permit applications related to the construction of infrastructure
- Analyze installation options
- Establish project schedules for construction and installation projects
- Responsible for documenting network installations and ensuring GIS records are updated
- Ensure projects are completed within budget
- Maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies
- Maintain a safe work environment while complying with all health and safety requirements.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Post-Secondary diploma in an Electronics Technology Program.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a network management or telecommunications construction environment.
- Strong working knowledge of fibre optic construction and locating methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications (fibre optic and wireless) network design.
- Class G driver's license.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
- Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
