About The Role

We're seeking a talented Rust Engineer to join our research team at LayerZero. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing high-performance, secure, and scalable systems that advance blockchain interoperability and shape the future of decentralized applications.

What You'll Do

We're looking for an engineer experienced in building complex systems using Rust, who is passionate about blockchain technology and excited to drive innovation. You don't need a background in blockchain, but you should be eager to learn about it.

• You have a strong understanding of Rust and can design and implement robust, efficient, and secure systems.
• You are comfortable writing clean, scalable, and well-tested code.
• You enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment, where you'll need to take initiative and solve problems independently.
• Pushing code that supports tens of billions of dollars of daily transactional volume doesn't scare you.
• You are curious and eager to learn new technologies and design patterns.
• You're not afraid to navigate up and down a deep technical stack. You don't define yourself by the tools you know, only by the problems you solve.
• You are able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

About You

The base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 / year up to $250,000 / year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. LayerZero is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
