Position Details :

  • Up to 40 hrs / week

Patient-Focused Care Responsibilities :

The Pharmacy Manager / Store Operator is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

The Pharmacy Manager will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient-focused care, customer service, and workflow efficiencies.

  • Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
  • Promotes the Neighbourly brand through publishing, presenting, and participation in the industry
  • associations to improve brand awareness.
  • Follow and promote the Neighbourly policy manual to inspire a working environment that attracts and retains talented, committed, and engaged employees
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document.
  • Administer vaccines.
  • Determine the appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Recommend OTC products and vitamins.
  • Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment.
  • Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Saskatchewan
  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager (preferred), however, open to speaking with those interested in pursuing the next step in their Pharmacist journey to become a manager!
  • Possess entrepreneurial abilities and a will to grow the business
  • Ability to lead, coach, and encourage staff
  • Capability to collaborate with the front-store staff to find possibilities for patient care
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism
