Freelance Accounting Operations Advisory Consultant (AOA)

The Accounting Operations Advisory Consultant (AOA) may be responsible for, but is not limited to :

• Serving clients and supporting local or international office teams.
• Reviewing and contributing to Accounting Operations and Reporting Advisory projects.
• Developing and leading timely communications relevant to professionals and clients.
• Participating in current state findings workshops to understand and document key financial processes.
• Understanding and documenting companies' IT architectures and researching financial systems.
• Developing materials for finance effectiveness workshops and participating in their delivery.
• Documenting and visualizing key performance metrics using visualization tools.
• Having experience in finance roles or providing assurance, consulting, and advisory services to finance functions.
• Possessing or pursuing CPA, CA designation.
• Having strong technical skills in GAAP, control certification, securities, regulatory standards, assurance, and knowledge of Public Sector Standards, IFRS, ASPE, internal controls, and risk management.
• Ability to synthesize data into clear deliverables for clients.
• Thinking strategically about client requirements.
• Experience with financial systems and tools like Blackline, Workiva, Concur, Tableau, etc.
• Background in Audit.
• Expertise in financial management disciplines such as process design, budgeting, reporting, performance management, and business case development.
• Approaching engagements with strategic thinking, problem diagnosis, solution development, client communication, facilitation, documentation, and team leadership.
• Experience in Data Analytics and Visualization tools and translating finance data into insights.
