We are recruiting for a Senior Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Canadian business focusing on projects across the BioProducts sector.

Wood’s Canada Projects team is recognized as a leader in the forest and bio-industries, providing end‑to‑end EP / EPF / EPCM services to clients in pulp and paper, biomass, and sustainable industrial infrastructure. The role supports the growth of the I&C engineering and design team and serves as a working lead on projects.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Department I&C and Telecom Engineering, this role involves leadership and mentoring within the I&C engineering and design teamOversee project delivery within BioProducts for I&C to meet budget, schedule, and quality targetsEnsure compliance with company procedures and quality systemsCoordinate with project managers for efficient execution and utilization of staffCoordinate and lead work with distributed teams and work‑share officesMonitor team performance and forecast resource needs within the business segmentProviding input to process for P&ID developmentParticipate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL reviewsParticipate in the BioProducts leadership team to help identify and secure new project opportunitiesPrepare and / or review and approve technical deliverables and proposalsParticipates in project audits (quality and technical)Stay current with industry standards and tools, and implement improvementsPromote a safety culture aligned with Wood Canada LtdQualifications
Instrumentation Technologist / Bachelors of Engineering from an accredited University or College.Registered or eligible to be registered with EGBC in British Columbia and / or other provinces (PE in the U.S. is an asset)At least 10 years of relevant technical industry experienceStrong knowledge of industry practices and codes / directivesHas the ability to manage multiple ongoing projectsExperience in AVEVA Instrumentation is an assetExcellent communication and leadership skillsCommitted to client satisfaction and team successDiversity Statement
