Duties

As a Senior Program Advisor, you would :

  • Analyze funding requests and make recommendations;
  • Negotiate and administer funding agreements;
  • Collect relevant information on trends and issues;
  • Prepare correspondence and briefing materials for management;
  • Contribute to the development of program tools and processes;
  • Conduct outreach to promote departmental priority programs and initiatives;
  • Perform mentoring and coaching of junior staff.

1. Experience providing services to clients.

2. Experience leading projects or initiatives.

3. Experience performing two or more of the following tasks :

  • Researching and compiling relevant information in a concise report;
  • Writing correspondence;
  • Analyzing financial documents;
  • Making recommendations to management.

2. Experience preparing grant applications (applying for funding) for community organizations or delivering funding programs for government organizations.

3. Experience developing operational tools, presentations, work processes or documents such as guides, toolkits or templates.

4. Experience mentoring or coaching employees.

5. Experience in community development or outreach activities.

6. Experience applying anti-oppression frameworks and principles.

7. Experience developing or modernizing working tools.

8. Experience delivering training to a variety of audiences.

9. Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint or Excel.

10. Experience working with or within organizations operating in one or more of the following fields :

  • Ethnically diverse or equity-deserving organizations or communities;
  • Arts;
  • Heritage;
  • Indigenous communities or organizations;
  • Official language minority communities English-speaking communities in Quebec or Francophone communities outside Quebec.

Operational requirements.

  • 1. Willingness and ability to travel occasionally;
  • 2. Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally with short notice;
