Speech Language Pathologist - Adult, Casual, Alliance Wide
REQUIRED
As soon as possible SALARY : $43.37 to $56.22 per hour QUALIFICATIONS : - Master’s Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology- A member of good standing of the College of Audiologists and Speech and Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification EXPERIENCE : - Clinical expertise and experience in stroke rehabilitation and demonstrated knowledge of current stroke rehabilitation best practices including management of dysphagia.
- Experience in both clinical and video fluoroscopic assessment of swallowing- Experience with inpatient service delivery is an asset.
- Experience with critical care patients is an asset. ABILITIES : - Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in an interprofessional collaborative environment.
- Working knowledge of and experience with theories and principles guiding adult learning and patient self-management approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, problem-solving and innovation skills.- Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative.
