About Us : Dass Imports International Ltd is a dynamic and rapidly growing company specializing in the distribution of food, agriculture and packaged consumer goods.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented purchasing associate with expertise in import and export of bulk food, agricultural & consumer-packaged goods (CPG), and Grocery, catering to both retail and bulk procurement.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods while maintaining high-quality standards.

This position requires a keen understanding of the CPG and Grocery industries, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

Market Analysis and Supplier Identification :

Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, pricing, and emerging products in the bulk food, agricultural, CPG and Grocery sectors.

Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other key performance indicators.

Negotiation and Contract Management :

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.

Order Placement and Tracking (import) :

Generate purchase orders and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery.

Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.

Quality Assurance :

Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain product quality standards.

Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers promptly.

Cost Optimization :

Analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality.

Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall expenses.

Collaboration and Communication :

Liaise with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and finance to understand their procurement needs.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with overall business objectives.

Compliance and Risk Management :

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (at least 5+ years) in purchasing import / export, preferably within the bulk food, agriculture, CPG and Grocery industries.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Details :

• Competitive salary based on experience plus commission.
• On-site role with approximately 25% travel.
