These businesses provide a foundation on which the rest of our economy moves. Robert Half is working with one of these organizations to help in identifying a new Vice President of Finance.
You have likely never heard of this organization, but you have very likely used a product that they either manufacture, import, or distribute.
As the size and complexity of the company’s operations have increased, so have the demands on its finance function. As a result of these increased demands the business needs to enhance the leadership of its finance team by adding a Vice President of Finance who will report to the Principal Shareholder and CEO who is very entrepreneurial.
As this role is new, it is expected that the existing team will remain in place and the new VP Finance will have the opportunity to bring leadership management and fresh ideas to the Company finance function.
Additionally, the VP Finance will :
- Oversee and manage a domestic team of accounting staff
- Oversee the accounting / finance aspects of the foreign manufacturing operations
- Encompass all aspects of finance : managing foreign exchange, working with multiple banks and currencies, providing oversight of all financial reporting and preparation of consolidated statements, oversight of annual audits for all companies and subsidiaries, selecting and reviewing accounting policy and procedures
- Provide strategic though to business planning, forecasting, and analysis
- Oversee the management and development of Information Technology systems and resources

- An accounting designation and previous experience as a the senior financial leader for an organization
- Experience in manufacturing / distribution / warehousing / or wholesales
- Ideally, you also have experience providing oversight to oversees operations
- Someone who is operationally oriented and see the relationship between accounting / finance and operations
