Role Overview

As a Data Scientist within Exchange Solutions, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge machine learning and generative AI technologies that are and will continue to drive force behind our innovative solutions, that redefine how our clients engage their customers.

You will design and perform experiments, deploy state-of-the-art ML models and AI algorithms, and drive innovation and efficiency across our products.

You will serve as a translator, narrowing the gap between business and analytics teams and development. You will champion optimization of the entire ML lifecycle, prioritizing speed-to-market strategies and the practical application of data insights.

This role is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of analytical professionals that partners up with Product and Technology to design innovative, value-adding customer engagement solutions for our clients.

The role reports to the Analytical Team Lead, Analytics & Optimization.

What you’ll do

  • Keep up to date with latest developments in AI and Machine learning, to drive innovation through experimental projects and prototypes
  • Support the application of Large Language Models and Generative AI, identifying where they can offer the greatest business impact
  • Actively engage in all aspects of AI / ML solutions’ development, from ideation to deployment
  • Facilitate the transition of models from development to production environment
  • Optimize the computational performance and data size of deployed large models, implementing scaling techniques for training
  • Be a collaborative, cross-function team-player, comfortable partnering with various teams, such as analytics to design and develop new features, or with product and technology team to integrate AI / ML solutions
  • Help align new solutions with business strategies to ensure performance optimization and alignment with business goals
  • Maintain highest bar for data quality, comprehensive documentation for models and algorithms, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

What you’ll bring

  • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science or other related scientific fields
  • 5+ years of related experience working with products with Machine Learning / GenAI engines supported by MLOps infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data science analysis. Prompt engineering experience an asset
  • Demonstrated success in taking theoretical / mathematical Machine Learning models to effective, full-scale production systems
  • Experience with AWS cloud services & architectures for deploying large models, and with version controlling and reproducibility
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail and accuracy, high aptitude for problem solving, and a natural interest in researching new ML / AI developments
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Driven self-starter looking to learn, teach and contribute significantly to the energy of a high performing team
