Daily Operations Management
- Manage ramp and bagroom operations, including aircraft movement, loading, baggage handling, towing, and cargo.
- Allocate, track, order, ship, receive, and sign out equipment and supplies.
- Conduct coaching on equipment usage and task assignments.
- Coordinate with maintenance for ground service equipment allocation.
- Monitor aircraft movements to identify issues and develop solutions to minimize operational impacts on guests and KPIs.
- Collaborate with airline partners to ensure safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs on tools.
- Address challenges affecting baggage movement, including scanning, hold decisions, chargeback analysis, BIWIS operations, baggage recall, disputes, and delays.
- Participate in staff briefings at shift start, discussing challenges and opportunities.
- Provide operational feedback to airline management and suggest solutions.
- Monitor upcoming flights for potential issues, focusing on delayed bags, staffing, and equipment needs.
- Offer staffing insights to the Duty Manager.
- Create and update crew schedules.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- At least one year of airline operations experience preferred.
- Experience in ground operations and inventory control is advantageous.
- Ability to promptly address operational challenges.
- Proficient with PC applications, task allocation, inventory control, timekeeping software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must hold or obtain a Restricted Area Pass.
- Effective communication skills via radio, phone, etc.
- Ability to influence and communicate across all levels.
