Global Technology Services (GTS) is one of the foundational divisions of the TMX Group, that empowers internal TMX business lines for their technology needs, operations and digital innovation.

Leveraging Devops has become necessary and key to delivering on GTS' promise to be a technology driven solutions provider that puts clients first.

The Devops Engineering team is responsible for working closely with various business units and stakeholders to solve complex problems using innovative solutions, quickly and effectively using agile, lean and devops methodologies, while ensuring infrastructure remains highly available, secure and optimized for speed and cost.

Reporting to DevOps Lead, Level 2 Support , you will be responsible for planning and execution of non-functional and functional tests in a perspective of ensuring DevOps release minimum quality.

You are expected to be strongly oriented toward automation and to contribute to the DevOps release pipeline.

Your role also includes level 2 support to investigate potential issues reported by the technical help desk or other business operation groups and determine ways to prevent system availability disruption.

As such you are responsible for the triage and follow-up of the incoming service requests for DevOps.You must have a high attention to detail and a perfect work ethic.

You are expected to promptly respond to resolve any issues and follow automation practices of the DevOps Team. You must be able to interact with multiple Agile Squads and Infrastructure teams, while having a positive influence in the team.

Key accountabilities :

Evaluate new issue reports, determine the course of action they require and if a workaround is possible

Participate in the level 2, 24 / 7 production support for critically important systems by assuming a role in the on call rotation

Troubleshoot and provide support for all controlled environments,

Provide when required incident management services and communication in collaboration with TMX Operations.

Ensure that application support is in compliance with GTS and all Information Security Standards.

Complete / automate non-functional and functional testing

Maintain the DevOps pipeline and respond to requests for lower region environments (Development, QA, Etc.)

Must haves :

3-5+ years' experience in quality assurance

3-5+ years' experience with Bash, Python, JavaScript and Perl

Knowledge of trading, clearing and market data feeds

Good knowledge with Linux and Windows OS

Knowledge with Ansible, Jenkins or other CI tools, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker / Podman), Jira, Bitbucket (GIT), Confluence, Splunk, Nagios and ServiceNow

Significant Shown excellence in written and verbal communication skills

Shown excellence in collaborating with Operations and other internal clients in professional manner

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering and / or equivalent work experience

Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for this position, as it involves dealing with external and internal partners who communicate mainly in English.

Nice to haves :

Knowledge of FIX and / or SAIL protocols

Experience with AWS (EC2, Redshift, CloudWatch)

IBM WebSphere MQ Series

Citrix (XenApp) Servers

Understanding of TCP / UDP

Solace Message Routers or any other messaging middleware
