One of our government clients is looking for a Data Entry Clerk - $18 / hour (8 weeks contract- ONSITE- STOUFVILLE, ON)Length : 2 MONTHS contract with a possibility of an extension Location : Stouffville - ON (ONSITE)Hours : Monday to Friday 9am-5pmDept : Finance RESPONSIBILITIES· Working in the Financial Department· Data entry, opening mail, postal / courier tasks· Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners· Type in data provided directly from customers· Update existing data· Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested· Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation· Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost QUALIFICATIONS· Strong data entry skills· Fast typing skills : Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferred· Proven experience with Microsoft Office - Excel and Word- must be able to navigate excel and input large quantities of data· Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices· Basic understanding of databases· Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills· Great attention to detail· High school degree or equivalent· Must be a team player and have a genuine compassion for animals· Ability to work well under stress· Available to work irregular hours including weekend and statutory holidays if required URGENT : Please read the job description below.
