Materials Coordinator

Our client in Calgary is searching for a Materials Coordinator to join their team on the LNGC Project in Kitimat BC. A successful candidate will be responsible for preparing field material requisitions (FMR’S) and tracking receipt of all commissioning materials as required.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

• Participate in schedule review meetings and be proactive in material requests.
• Maintain a master layout plan to highlight where all materials are stored.
• Maintain a master inventory of commissioning materials and consumables.
• Follow up with vendors on outstanding deliveries, expedite as necessary to ensure commissioning schedule is met.
• Maintain a master inventory of all commissioning equipment and assigned owners.
• Set up and organize commissioning project warehouse as per management agreement.
• ensure compliance of commissioning materials with project requirements.
• Manage safe equipment sign in and sign out to all personnel.

Your strengths include :

• Proven experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in inventory management software, MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and project management tools.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to handling and storing construction materials.
