Proposal Writer

Our client, a globally recognized boutique research consultancy, is looking for a Proposal Writer who can provide support across proposal writing, capabilities presentations and strategic communications.

You will also be supporting the business development and corporate profile functions, to ensure the company’s leadership position as an innovative and progressive market research consultancy

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & TASKS REQUIRED

Communication & Presentation Skills

• Expresses and transmits information with consistency, clarity, and confidence
• Communicates with ease both in written and verbal form
• Demonstrates active listening techniques in order to effectively understand, interpret outcomes, and formulate plans
• Ability to read a room / meeting and understand implications

Writing for Proposals and Capabilities Presentations

• Takes detailed notes and absorbs information from a client brief, in both a meeting and by reading a Request for Proposal (RFP)
• Sources all necessary background information to write an informed proposal; including and not limited to :

oConducting research on therapeutic area / category

oAnalyzing and understanding previous relevant work

oGathering recent proposals to understand approach, costing, etc.

• Develops and writes compelling proposals within deadlines
• Writes persuasive proposals with impactful visualization of ideas, the company's approaches and output, driving innovation where appropriate and necessary
• Stays up to date on how costing is completed for clients, including client rate cards and discounts that are offered
• Is aware of financial terms and MSA agreements for all clients
• Has strong understanding of client portals for RFP submissions and all the required documents
• Develops professional and customized credential decks for clients as needed

SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONPost-secondary or Graduate Degree in social sciences, business or marketing

EXPERIENCE1-5 years proposal writing / credentials writing experience

TECHNICAL SKILLSProficiency in MS Office standard suite of programs, including spreadsheet budgeting templates. Intermediate level of skills with presentation software such as PowerPoint or equivalent.

LANGUAGESExcellent and seamless fluency for written and spoken English

French skills are an asset; proficiency in other languages is an asset
