The I&C Designer will support an upstream expansion project, focusing on instrument design deliverables using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) and SmartPlant 3D (S3D) . This role develops datasheets, loop diagrams, and supports instrument modeling and coordination in 3D.
Key Responsibilities (Must‑Haves)
- Develop instrument datasheets and loop diagrams in SPI .
- Maintain instrument index, I / O lists, wiring / termination details in SPI.
- Place and model field instruments, JBs, cable routing, and supports in S3D .
- Update instrument locations and validate accessibility in the 3D model.
- Review P&IDs and ensure accurate tag data between SPI and S3D.
- Support industrial control system documentation for DCS / PLC / ESD / FGS.
- Assist with field walkdowns, redlines, and as-built updates.
Must‑Have Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation).Practical experience with S3D (SmartPlant 3D) for instrument modeling.5+ years of I&C design experience in Oil & Gas.Experience creating datasheets , loop diagrams , and wiring drawings .Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and instrumentation standards.Familiarity with industrial control systems (DCS / PLC / ESD / FGS).Knowledge of hazardous areas (IECEx / ATEX) and field instrumentation.Nice to Have
Upstream experience (well pads, gathering systems, CPF, offshore tie-ins).AutoCAD or MicroStation experience.Exposure to SmartPlant Foundation.Soft Skills
