About the job
As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, we are seeking a strategic Enterprise Architect who doesn't just manage IT blueprints but acts as a primary catalyst for business transformation and improvement. In this role you will bridge the gap between ambitious business strategies (such as grid modernization, renewable integration, and customer centricity) and the complex technology ecosystem required to make them a reality.
What you’ll do
- Reporting to the Chief Enterprise Architect, this role is accountable for providing strategic alignment, leading change, cross-functional leadership, innovation scouting, and capability mapping.
- Strategic Alignment : work closely with business leaders to translate business outcomes (e.g. growing our load, modernize our grid or digitizing the customer experience) into actionable technology roadmaps, target architectures, principles and concepts.
- Leading Change : lead the design of “To-Be” architectures that simplify legacy environments while integrating cutting‑edge solutions like automation using AI, distributed energy resource (DER) platform. This “To-Be” architectures encompass business process, data & information, integration, applications, infrastructure / cloud and cybersecurity.
- Cross‑functional Leadership : break down organizational silos to ensure systems are integrated and data flows seamlessly across the value chain.
- Innovation Scouting : identify emerging technologies (e.g. AI, drone) that can provide operational efficiency and improve productivity.
- Capability Mapping : define the business capabilities needed for the future and identify gaps in our current people, processes, and technology.
What you bring
7+ years of experience working as an Enterprise Architect in the Application domain or a combination of IT & Business roles in digital transformation.Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.The Bridge Builder with excellent communication skill : you can talk “Cloud Infrastructure” with the engineers and “Rate Case Impact” with CFO.The System Thinker : you see the “big picture” and understand how a change in one system affects other business areas in the value chain.The Pragmatist : you balance the desire for perfect architecture with the reality of “keeping the lights on” and delivering immediate business value.The Influencer : you have the ability to influence stakeholders and lead change without direct authority.Understanding of utility industry and ability to apply architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman).Experience with ERP (SAP), GIS, ADMS, AMI and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).You are self‑starter, outcome focused, and collaborative.What we offer
