IVR Development and Design Lead
Job Specification : IVR Design and Development Lead
- Hybrid- 2 days per week in Toronto
- Canadian Citizens or PR only
- Contract (12 months+)
Responsibilities :
Requirement Gathering and Documentation (25%)
- Engage in requirement gathering sessions and document current IVR design, identifying limitations.
- Provide expertise on existing architecture and recommend enhancements aligned with new business needs.
- Maintain and update design documentation in Confluence and secure business stakeholder approvals.
IVR Development and Integration (40%)
- Implement and integrate changes based on requirement packages into the IVR system.
- Develop and update code in Java, incorporating CVP and REST API integrations as required.
- Mentor junior developers, offering guidance throughout development cycles.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and provide constructive feedback.
Testing and Deployment Support (25%)
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), Production Acceptance Testing (PAT), and Load / Soak Testing.
- Oversee the promotion of code to SIT servers and manage deployment builds across environments.
- Collaborate with QA teams to facilitate efficient testing and address queries on new or existing designs.
Maintenance and Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Revise design documents to incorporate project-related updates.
- Monitor post-deployment IVR performance and ensure stable operation across all environments.
- Respond quickly to resolve issues during testing phases or in production.
Mandatory Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IVR design and development, with expertise in Java, CVP, and REST API integrations.
- Demonstrated capability in gathering requirements, documenting, and designing IVR solutions.
- Strong coding skills and experience in IVR application development and integration.
- Experience in code deployment and promotion across testing environments.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills :
- Experience with telephony platforms like Genesys or Cisco.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Proficiency with tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Leadership or mentoring experience with junior developers or cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting experience in complex technical settings.
