Position Profile
MCFT is seeking a team-oriented, dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the Administration Team at the Bathurst Campus.
Incumbent must be a team player who takes personal accountability to deliver on what is expected in this role and strives for excellence every day.
Reporting to the College Administrator, the Administrative Assistant will contribute to supporting the team in the areas of student services, general office administration, client services, visual and technical services and providing in-person, as well as, telephone communication with clients.
- The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the College Administrator in performing a wide variety of confidential and delegated duties using considerable independent judgment, initiative and discretion;
- student services (admissions / records management / maintaining merchandise inventory & sales / preparing course materials);
- financial services (accounts receivable / bank deposits); client services (greeting clients / directing to appropriate staff);
and responsibility for the day-to-day general office administration (processing mail / office equipment troubleshooting, photocopying, records management).
As a member of the Administration Team, the Administrative Assistant will be required to support, when required, in the day-to-day activity deadlines of the team and compliment a team-oriented, fast-paced, work environment.
Qualifications
Required Education :
High school diploma or GED supplemented by a Post-secondary Diploma in Business or Office Administration.
Requirements / Skills :
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in an administrative position.
- Proficient in office technology, software and applications.
- Professional & confidential.
- Effective interactive communication with all levels of an organization.
- Client service oriented.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Work independently and / or as part of a team.
- Self-starter & demonstrate initiative.
- Records management.
- Written and spoken competence in French and English is required. Please state your language capability on your application.
