Job Description
Hatch and Bantrel have formed the Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan.
After successfully completing the Definition Phase Study for the project, the HBJV is currently carrying out the Detailed Engineering Phase for the Processing, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and Mining Areas of the 4.
5 Mtpa Stage 1 Potash Mine. With a published TIC of US $5.3-5.7 Billion this will represent one of the largest projects and private investments in Canada.
The HBJV will use a hybrid of best-in-class new developing technologies and systems as well as the proven HBJV suite of tools to execute this exciting project.
Under the direction of the Technical Service Manager and Systems Program Manager, the Site Systems Support Specialist will provide technical support for project execution systems used by all project stakeholders at the Jansen project site.
The Site Systems Support Specialist will work with a team of technical resources and construction management resources at the Jansen site.

Please note this position is not eligible for a relocation subsidy or living out allowance. This will be a camp position on 14 days on 7 days-off rotation working 10hr / day.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support for project execution systems and data integrations including : Construction Data Management, Completions and Turnover, Health, Safety and the Environment, Workforce Management and Project Controls
- Provide support to assess and address issues raised by project end users (i.e., BHP, HBJV or construction contractors) including :
- Contacting the party who raised the issue to seek clarification of details, as required,
- Viewing data in both the software application and corresponding databases for the purposes of analysis,
- Supervise a team of up to 5 direct reports.
- Reproducing the issue in a non-production environment, consulting with HBJV support team members, as required, and determining and initiating next steps for resolution of the issue.
- Regularly query functional super users of project execution systems to proactively identify issues.
- Using the Zendesk incident management system, log and address, in a prioritized manner, all issues raised by project participants.
- Continuously manage and monitor the Zendesk incident management system queue for issues logged by project participants.
- Desktops, printers, tablets and smartphone device support.
- User account system management (Azure and on-prem AD).
- On-call support for emergencies and outages.
- Adhere to HBJV’s safety program in the context of project systems & IT support.
- Escalate issues in accordance with the HBJV systems support model.
- Participate in status meetings with the Systems Program Manager, promptly raising issues and contributing to continuous innovation discussions.
Qualifications
- Recognized diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline from an accredited college or university or practical work experience in information systems and technology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make quick decisions in response to well-defined project requirements
- Ability to communicate well, in a customer-centric fashion, with all project stakeholders (e.g., HBJV team members, client representatives, construction contractors, vendors, etc.)
- Hexagon SmartPlant suite of engineering design tools
- 2+ years work experience in a construction / construction management context considered an asset
- 2+ years work experience on a major EPCM project considered an asset
