Our client, a highly successful development corporation located in Mississauga seeks a bright, dynamic and proactive Legal Executive Assistant / Law Clerk to join its team.
In this role you will play an important role in the business by providing high level support to the CFO and their team.
This role is available because of a retirement.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for managing the team's schedule / calendar and workload to ensure adequate preparation for meetings and other engagements.
- Drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications Manages calendar, coordinates travel and dinner event arrangements and other related projects as assigned Drafts letters, memos, worksheets, and other documents for distribution including legal documents relating to financings (mortgage activity worksheet re payouts, renewals, new money etc) letters of credit (obtain, record and monitor all issued Letters of Credit, monthly reconciliations etc)and credit facilities(Review / maintenance / amendments) Coordinates and schedules meetings / Board meetings;
- develops agendas, obtains briefing documents, and distributes materials in advance of meetings; prepares minutes or action item reports for distribution following meetings Prepares and submits monthly expense reports;
maintain, balance and handle requests re petty cash, credit card reconciliation and submission for settlement Prepares RFF, Project Summary Sheets, Appraisals, Commitment Letters, Term Sheets,ESA and BCR, ensure lease documentation / Tenant Estoppels and Non Disturbance Agreements are up to date Work with Finance / Accounting team re preparation of annual reports Completes projects and special assignments as may be assigned or delegated by establishing key objectives Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Ideally will possess a Law Clerk or Executive Assistant Diploma. A University Degree would be considered an asset Minimum of 15+ years of post-qualification experience Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills Strong organizational skills Advanced expertise with MS Office is a must (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Excellent attention to detail, discretion in handling confidential information and ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands and deadlines.
Adaptable and able to work within tight deadlines, showing flexibility. High-level time management and organizational skills.
Excellent English communication skills. Has the ability to effectively communicate with different levels of positions in the organization.
