Responsibilities
- Employ advanced adjudication skills to manage a diverse caseload, including cases of catastrophic impairment, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Serve as a mentor, guiding junior and intermediate staff members to enhance their skills and proficiency.
- Demonstrate expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, leading LAT case conferences independently.
- Provide strategic direction to defense counsel, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain meticulous electronic file records, embracing our commitment to a paperless work environment.
- Monitor and assess reserve adequacy in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
- Uphold daily claims procedures in alignment with legal, regulatory, and privacy standards.
- Interact with claimants and legal representatives with courtesy and professionalism, fostering positive relationships.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships through unwavering professional accountability and dedication to excellence.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 8 years' experience in handling AB claims, with extensive expertise in catastrophic file management.
- Prior experience in auto property damage adjusting roles.
- Thorough understanding of the Ontario Automobile Policy (OAP 1) and Ontario Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS).
- Completion of a college diploma or post-secondary certificate.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Preferred enrollment in or completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) program.
