Early Childhood Educator

PartTime Monday Wednesday Friday (6 hours/day)
Location: British Columbia

Kids & Company is looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a contract basis until June. Experience working with children with special needs is a strong asset.

Schedule

• Contract until June
• Parttime: 6 hours/day on Monday Wednesday and Friday

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate documentation reporting and record keeping
• Implement an Emergent Curriculum based on childrens interests
• Support childrens emotional physical and behavioural needs
• Complete attendance and health & safety checks
• Work collaboratively with external professionals (e.g. therapists interventionists)
• Assist children with transitions throughout the day
• Participate in team meetings trainings and workshops

Qualifications

• Valid British Columbia ECE License
• Current Criminal Record Check
• Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR
• Uptodate immunizations
• Ability to lift push or pull up to 45 lbs
• Experience working with children with special needs (asset)

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to work collaboratively with children families and colleagues
• Comfortable using computer systems for documentation
• Strong problemsolving and initiative
