To support growth, we’re looking to add an Electrical Assembler to the Production team.
This is a Day Shift Position from 6 : 00 am–2 : 30 pm Monday‑Friday.
This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
- Mount electrical components, route cables, and wire termination of components.
- Review electrical drawings, cut sheets, and termination sheets to ensure all connections are secure and correctly installed.
- Interpret wiring schematics.
- Follow part and component details with attention to detail.
- Monitor production schedule and report schedule impacts.
- Request parts from the warehouse.
- Build panels, terminate wiring in panels and print wire tags for the electrical department.
- Ensure quality standards and procedures are met and followed.
- Ensure safety policies are met and followed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform continuity checks on panels.
- Maintain tools and tool PM sheets.
- Perform tasks safely and in accordance with company policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
- Understand and follow all company policies and rules.
Required Education & Qualifications
Grade 12 education or equivalent.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Organizational skills and ability to work independently.Safe work practices.Willingness to work in other areas of the facility as required.Availability for overtime on weekdays and weekends when required.Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.Effective communication with co‑workers, team leads, supervisors, engineers, quality and health & safety.Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).Steel‑toed boots (CSA approved, 6 in. height or greater) required.General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).Good hand‑eye coordination.Capacity to learn and follow electrical drawings, wiring schematics and bill of materials.Ability to plan and execute jobs successfully.Experience bending and installing rigid and EMT pipe, and calculating pipe fill and wire size (asset).Ability to mount panels, VFDs, filters and devices and install instrumentation tubing and devices.Experience prepping and installing lights, pulling and terminating wire.Strong communication, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.Understanding of engineering and electrical principles.HVAC experience or knowledge is an asset.Safety requirement – respirator use : Must be clean‑shaven for proper respirator fit; compliance is mandatory.Modine is an equal‑opportunity employer.
