DUTIES
The Department of Computing Science requires sessional instructor(s) to teach, on a contract basis, a variety of first-year, second year, and some selected upper-level courses in the Fall 2024 semester including introductory Computer Programming courses (Java), Data Structures, Introduction to Computer Systems, Mobile Applications Development, Web Design, Programming Methods, and Software Architecture.
The ability to teach in several of these areas would be a definite asset. Other courses may be considered depending on the needs of the Department and the qualifications of the candidate(s).
Duties will include delivering lectures, labs, and seminars, marking assignments, tests and examinations. All courses have been already developed and offered on a regular basis.
Successful candidates may be offered a full sessional workload.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Master's degree in computing science or closely related area is required.
- A PhD in computing science or closely related area is preferred.
- Ability to teach undergraduate students is required.
- Prior university-level teaching experience in computing science and evidence of excellence in teaching (teaching dossier, teaching evaluations, etc.) is preferred.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
