Position Overview :
Responsible for development of operational projects resulting from detailed asset management plans and maintenance programs for roads, traffic, parks and cemeteries, pursuant to the Infrastructure Jobs and Prosperity Act;
specifically, regarding the development of levels of service and related costs.
- Responsible for the project management of operations specific projects for Operations - Roads & Traffic and Parks & Cemeteries.
- Responsible for conducting LEAN projects to ensure efficient and effective core service delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Facilitates work with key stakeholders to prioritize integrated project plans.
- Provides key analysis and information to inform business case development and / or grant funding opportunities.
- Develops terms of reference, scope of work, schedule and tender documents for capital projects to support operational improvements in Roads, Traffic, Parks and Cemeteries.
Participates in consultant and / or contractor selection.
- Determines project objectives, requirements, key performance indicators and a framework to resolve issues.
- Identifies project specific risks and develops mitigation strategies.
- Leads the development and implementation of recommendations coming from asset management strategies related to inventory, condition and maintenance, aligned with corporate asset management policies, systems and practices.
- Leads the development and implementation of the programs established for assets maintained by Operations - Roads & Traffic and Parks & Cemeteries
- In collaboration with the Asset Management Division, develops, implements and monitors operational asset database models and associated system configurations to support ongoing asset data management.
- Performs LEAN evaluations for operational programs in Roads, Traffic, Parks & Cemeteries and implements program improvements.
- Monitors related legislations and develops programs to meet legislation; for example, MMS and Excess Soils Management.
- Develops programs for new services directed by CLT, Council, new infrastructure or new legislation.
Requirements :
- 3-year degree or diploma in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years related experience.
- Registered Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technologists and Technicians (OACETT).
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's license in good standing.
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
