Position Summary

The Regional Manager, Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Strategic Initiatives is responsible for ensuring effective and timely functioning of CME initiatives for all of Northern Health Medical Staff.

In addition, this role is responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives for the Medical portfolio (e.g. SaferCare and Clinical Order Sets).

This role provides direction to the CME and the Clinical Order Set teams which includes day-to-day support and performance management.

This role co-leads the CME team with the representative of Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) in order to execute the mandate for continuing medical education with all the facilities in the Northern Health region.

Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, or a related field of study including allied health care professions, plus five (5) to seven (7) years progressive related work experience, with at least three (3) years in a managerial capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of systems thinking.
  • Develops coalitions by building partnerships & networks to create results, navigates socio-political environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, unify, energize, and motivate people in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of office software applications as effective tools in the role of a senior manager.
  • Models and supports full team commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and consensus-making skills to solve complex issues.
  • A philosophy of continuous learning and improvement for self and others.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of key stakeholders within and external to NH.
  • Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to identify funding resources, coordinate and develop successful funding applications.
  • Ability to coach teams and dyad partners; experience in conflict resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of Continuing Medical Education, accreditation, and medical education requirements considered an asset.
