WolfTrek Corp. is a leading contractor specializing in technical and construction staffing services. We are currently hiring for a contract position for Project Business Analyst based in either Sparwood or Calgary.
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Portfolio Management, the Project Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the EVR Projects portfolio, this is a two-year contract role.
Working with project managers, you will manage the day-to-day project cost tracking and facilitate the inputs in the business planning processes.

In this role you will : Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules, procedures, and initiatives.
Accurately manage, and report project costs in the cost management system. Review, track and reconcile monthly invoices and daily Labor, Equipment, and Material reports (LEMs).
Support project estimate development and facilitate inputs into the annual business planning and budgeting processes. Assist in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including the development and maintenance of cost-tracking tools and dashboards.
Provide training to project managers on the use of cost-tracking tools. Facilitate the monthly forecast review, communicating the overall portfolio variances to department leadership.
Coordinate and consolidate project status updates and progress reports from various team members and stakeholders to track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide support for project funding requests, commitment authorizations, and procurement activities. Interface and collaborate with Project Accounting and / or Business Unit Finance groups, Accounts Payable, site administration, and external vendors throughout the project cycle.
Requirements : Degree in Finance, Mining, Engineering or Business Minimum four years’ experience in finance, accounting, project cost controls, and project management, preferably within a mining or manufacturing environment Strong oral and written communication skills in both formal and informal settings Experience analyzing financial data in a project cost control or estimating function.
