Our client, a publicly listed company, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong analytical background to support a number of key initiatives. This role will start out on a 6-month contract and has the potential extension.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and reconcile month end, quarter end and year reports, in accordance with IFRS, including JEs, Intangibles, PPE, Prepaids, G& A, R& D, prepaids (LT and ST), accruals, service fee and other internal reports

- work with technical accounting to ensure alignment with existing policies

- Reconciliations and variance reporting

- Project reporting

- Assist with the SR& ED claim

- Assist with internal and external audit

-prepare complex journal entries and approve/post entries prepared by others.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated Senior Financial Analyst (CPA or equivalent), with at least 5 years of full cycle accounting experience. You are comfortable working in a very complex and structured environment.

In addition to the above, the following skills and experience are also desired:

- Experience assisting with D365 and strong advanced EXCEL skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Superior communication skills

- A keen eye for process improvement
