Screening Registry Coordinator

The Screening Registry Coordinator performs related administrative duties such as training clerical staff, trouble-shooting communication and operational issues , participating in program policy development, and makes recommendations on the Screening Registry staffing requirements for inclusion in future budgets.

What you’ll do

Manage Screening Registry processes for the screening programs by performing duties such as organizing work, determining priorities, and scheduling staff to meet work volume objectives.

Coordinate and input Screening Registry staff schedule.

  • Resolve day-to-day issues pertaining to electronic data management, and document distribution in order to meet the needs and requirements of the area.
  • Supervise assigned clerical staff by performing duties such as training and evaluating staff, addressing performance issues and proceeding with disciplinary action as required, participate in the hiring process.
  • Identify training needs for Screening Registry staff and participate in the development of training modules.
  • Coordinate computer and communication equipment installations and provide support including providing orientation and training sessions to effectively and efficiently deliver services to meet program needs.
  • Conduct audits and review data quality reports to assess compliance with program and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the evaluation of existing policies and procedures and develop, maintain and implement new and revised procedures by performing duties such as drafting procedures for recommendation to leadership and communicating information to staff.
  • Provide regular reporting of various program quality management activities such as work area summary reports.

What you bring

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a two year post-secondary program in a health discipline or health care administration
  • Minimum of four (4) years recent related experience in a clinical or business environment, including two (2) years of supervisory experience in a union environment.

You have :

  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare and present training, reports and recommendations to multidisciplinary audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work under time pressures to meet deadlines and handle interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze, implement and problem solve independently as well as the ability to work in the context of a team and participant centered environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).

Salary Range : $55,677 - $73,076. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan.

Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.

Location : Provincial Position and the candidate must be within the vicinity of a regional BC Cancer Centre to work.

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday; 0800-1600 / 0830 - 1630
