Job Description
Therapeutic Recreation Volunteer - Clothing Boutique (at the Waterford Hospital)
Do you have a few hours in your week to help someone pick just the right outfit? To help lift someone's spirits with the basics in "new to you" clothing?
To just help someone simply feel better because they have something to wear on an outing or when their family visits? If your answer is yes - the Clothing Boutique has a volunteer role for you.
The Clothing Boutique space is located on the main floor of the Waterford Hospital at 306 Waterford Bridge Road in St. John's.
And, as you may already know, we're waiting to move to our new Adult Mental Health Acute Facility in 2024!
This volunteer role involves the intake and sorting of donations (clothes, shoes, etc.) presentation of goods within the boutique and providing patients, clients and staff with shopping assistance.
This is not a cash enterprise.
The minimum age for volunteering with Mental Health and Addictions programs is 18 years old.
This is a daytime and limited evening volunteer opportunity during the work week.
